Stainless Steel Countertops

Stainless steel countertops bring a professional appeal to your kitchen. Your kitchen will have a contemporary, sleek look and feel. Stainless steel countertops combine alloy steel, a dash of chromium, and plywood. The dash of chromium makes it rust resistant and the plywood provides strength and absorbs the sound.

A stainless steel countertop not only offers a unique look and feel with reflective qualities, but it is also nonporous, resistant to water and heat, flexible, doesn't chip, and requires minimal maintenance. Special finishes can also be used to hide fingerprints, scratches, and other unpleasant marks.

When it comes to cleaning stainless steel, a quick wipe down with warm water and soap should do the trick. However, avoid using abrasive pads because they will scratch the surface. Also, do not use any cleaner that contains chlorine. As a rule of thumb, never let ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, lemon juice, vinegar, salt, or salad dressings sit on the surface of stainless steel because it will cause a white stain over time.
